>>> Talk: MySQL/InnoDB for write-intensive workloads
CHECK24 helps its customers to find and book their perfect trip by allowing them to search for offers at more then[masked] hotels worldwide.
Under the hood MySQL Percona is used to store these searches and their results, which gives us some pretty write-intensive workloads in our databases. This talk shows the challenges we saw in these databases and how we analysed them using PMM (Percona Monitoring and Management), Grafana and Sysbench.
We also point out the changes we made to our InnoDB config and to parts of our application based on that analysis, that helped us to handle this year s sharp traffic spikes.

(1) Vaccinated individuals must present their vaccination card, a vaccination certificate, or via app, their digital vaccination record. The complete vaccination must have been given at least 15 days ago.
(2) Recovered individuals must present a positive PCR test result. The test must be at least 28 days old and no more than six months old. After six months, recovered status expires, meaning a vaccination certificate or negative test result is required.
(3) Tested persons must present a negative test result (rapid antigen test or PCR test). The test must have been performed no longer than 24 hours ago. The result must be confirmed in writing by an official test center or stored as a certificate via app.
For additional safety, we would also like to ask vaccinated and recovered individuals to take a rapid test on the day of the event. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Right next to the CHECK24 offices, there is the test center "Höfe am Brühl" where you can get a free test:
