This month we feature Johannes Emigholz the COO & Co-Founder at Silexica. Johannes received a diploma in Industrial Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2011 and subsequently founded his first company - a utility supplier for green electricity. In 2014 he then co-founded Silexica as a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University, where he is currently in charge of Silexica's operations.
Silexica was founded 2014 in Aachen, Germany, as a spin-off from the Institute for Communication Technologies and Embedded Systems (ICE) at RWTH Aachen University and has so far received $28 million in funding. Most recently $18m came in Series B funding in June 2018 led by EQT Ventures. With headquarters in Cologne Germany and offices in the US and Japan, a team of world-leading engineers support market leading clients in the automotive, wireless and other rapidly transforming industries.
Silexica provides software development solutions that enable technology companies to take intelligent products such as autonomous cars from concept to deployment. The SLX programming tools help developers implement software to run efficiently on embedded supercomputers by offering deep understanding of how software behaves on the system.
Silexica has grown in 4 years to a team of 60 people coming from 20 countries.
